Hi, I’m Hannah. I’m a microbial ecologist.
I study how wild bacteria and fungi drive biogeochemical cycles, shaping how nutrients move through soils. Using multi-omics data, I investigate microbial functional traits, life history, and phenology. These microbial strategies shape plant-microbial-interactions and, ultimately, ecosystem-scale responses to global change.
Right now, I’m a postdoctoral researcher and USDA-NIFA fellow at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I work with Dr. Stephanie Kivlin in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, and Dr. Sean Schaeffer in the Department of Biosystems Engineering & Soil Science.
